Ingredients:

Suggested Homemade Broth

A simple, light broth that is ideal for all types of ingredients.

Ingredients:

  • 6 cups beef or chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 piece fresh ginger (approx. 5 cm), sliced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon mirin or cooking wine (optional)
  • Pepper to taste

Preparation:

Place all ingredients in a pot, bring to a boil, then simmer for 15-20 minutes before pouring into the fondue pot.

Suggested accompanying sauces:

Rosée sauce

Ingredients:

  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)
  • A few drops of lemon juice
  • A pinch of garlic powder or fresh garlic (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Options: Add sriracha sauce for spice and/or chili sauce to enhance the flavor.

Peanut sauce (satay style)

Creamy, slightly sweet, and perfect with meat.

Ingredients:

  • 3 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey or sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar or lime juice
  • 1 clove garlic, minced (optional)
  • A little hot water to thin (depending on desired texture)

Honey mustard sauce (mild and spicy)

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (or yellow mustard, depending on your taste)
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon cider vinegar or lemon juice (optional, for balance)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation:

Mix all ingredients until smooth.

Spicy variation:

  • Replace some of the mustard with hot mustard or whole grain mustard.
  • Add a little sriracha or Tabasco sauce for a spicy kick.

Serving suggestions:

  • Add your favorite boiled vegetables, such as baby potatoes, cauliflower, broccoli, etc.
  • A good serving of cooked rice.
